Hi everyone,
I've been trying out a DDJ-RX for a few days. I own the DDJ-RZ and the DDJ-RZX, and I thought the pad LED management in Virtual DJ was the same for all R-series models. However, it seems that the auto dim feature in the pad editor on the DDJ-RX doesn't work. In fact, all the pad LEDs on their respective pages flash instead of switching from a dimmer color to a brighter one (for example, from Dark Red to Red) as happens with the RZ and RZX. When trying Rekordbox, for example by selecting the pad FX page, the pads work correctly and switch from duller colors (effects off) to brighter colors (effects on).
Can someone from our team or the community give me some information on this? Thanks.

Pioneer RGB PADs of that era fell into two categories. Those "half" RGB and those "full" RGB.
To make matters worse there wasn't a clear transition from one type of pads to another either.
Pioneer kept releasing units with "half" RGB pads for quite some time after introducing "full" RGB pads.
This meant that for some time we had to "figure out" which type of LEDs each new unit used.
We never had a DDJ-RX unit on our hands and the mapping was done via remote sessions.
According to my notes from the time, the unit didn't use the "newer", "full" RGB pads.
At least that's what the guy that helped as map it in the first place told us.
I saw your email that you send me a few days back, but I didn't had time to prepare a full answer.
That being said, I will reply to your email with a test definition to check if the leds work properly, and if they do, we will update the built-in definition.
