Sujet: Pitch Control changed in vdj 2026
Hi All, I have the latest vdj 2026 running on a Windows 11 laptop. I've noticed Echo and reverb settings have changed but I've managed to mess about with them and get them somewhere back to normal. However, the pitch Control in the effects bank , that I use a lot for my creative djing, is now showing strength next to the effects knob on screen, rather than position. It used to show position so when knob was at 12 o'clock play speed was normal, then I would go left to slow the pitch and right to speed it uo. I've tried everything and I can't get position to show for the pitch effect. I use a Roland dj808 controller.

Really need to have this function or vital parts of my shows can't really be created. Many thanks for any help.

Update...... It must be a bug as I noticed I was using the default fx in the fx editor. As soon as I switched to legacy fx pitch shows with position showing. Really bizarre. It seems that that is why my effects were all messed up to, as soon as I'm back to legacy fx folder all the fx are fine. I'll leave this here just incase someone alse has the problem.
 
VirtualDJ 2026 has updated effects.
If you want to use the "old" effects then you must load the "Legacy" FX list.
Otherwise the new effects are used.
Also the FX List can be selected per effect slot.
Which means that one effect slot can use the new effects while another slot the old ones.
 
Many thanks for this phantom. It's just on the new pitch effect it only has strength and not position. Luckily I only really use Legacy effects. I can always add new and different effects to that too. Thanks loads for taking the time to reply, I really appreciate it.
