I have an i9 Acer Predator, 32 gigs ram, Nvidia (great unit). I haven't had a bit of issues. Then about 3 weeks ago, I get a notification my laptop may not handle stems. Also find it doesn't like to locate a.i. lyrics very well. There was and update from Microsoft (Windows), also a ln update from Nvidia, & I believe one from VDJ. No issues in over 3 years running all the bells & whistles. Now stems drag when analyzing real time. Time code stutters .. application has "laggy" moments. Anyone have any ideas?

What are the actual specs on the laptop - which Nvidia and what CPU?

Just discovered the issue. My "error" response happens when I am on battery power. Worked flawlessly once plugged to AC! Unit is power hungry, especially when using the Nvidia card.

Well, all modern high-end laptops have different TGP when running on battery versus running on AC power.
It's absolutely logical that a high-end GPU cannot be pushed hard when using battery power.
Those GPUs can reach up to 150 Watts of power consumption alone, if not even more..

You can simply set rge Windows power mode to balanced instead of power saving for battery as well
