Exclusive Playback / Auto-Stop Opposing Deck
I would like to request a native toggle option inside the Deck Options or Automated Features menu that enforces an exclusive playback rule across active decks. When this setting is turned on, triggering any HotCue or pressing Play on Deck 1 will instantly and automatically send a stop command to Deck 2 (and vice versa).
The Live Performance Use Case:
This feature is highly critical for live-streaming DJs, event hosts, and emcees who frequently operate under tight physical constraints. Specifically, when holding a microphone in one hand to speak to the crowd or stream audience, you only have a single hand free to control the DJ board.
Currently, performing a clean, instantaneous "Cut & Drop" transition on a beat requires two hands working simultaneously—one to fire the hotcue page and the other to strike the stop button on the outgoing channel. If a DJ is holding a mic, they are forced to make a sloppy manual transition or attempt to write complex, custom mapping strings that frequently break advanced pad page plugins like Hotcues XT.
Proposed Solution:
Add a simple toggle option under the Decks configuration panel (e.g., exclusivePlayback or autoStopOppositeDeck) that can be switched to Yes/No. Integrating this natively into the core audio engine would give solo performers the ability to execute flawless, one-handed track switching seamlessly without clashing with custom controller mappings or third-party pad plugins.
