Doesn't the directory exist or aren't there any effects in directory?
The effects files are .dll files and are invisibles. So, you must active the case in explorer (always visible...) in 'folder Option'.

That's weird, the effects directory is automatically added during the install process. If you are running the demo, uninstall it, and re-download and re-install it. If you are running the full purchased version, Try re-installing it. If that doesn't work, uninstall it first and re-install it. Or, go to the atomix folder, and create a new folder within called effects. Then download effects to that directory.

You can even put the effect dll's wherever you want. They don't have to be in the effects folder. It's easier of course, because when you load a plug in, it automatically loads the effect folder :p
