Sujet Phono mixer inputs

I have a 4ch mixer. Only two of the inputs are line-level, the other two are at the level for a record player.

Is there any device I can get that would let me plug in a line-level input into these sources?

Basically the phono inputs are the same as a 'line' input, expect the phono inputs have an extra pre-amplifier, as record players only output a very small voltage. If you have the output level of your sound card (or whatever you want to plug into the phono input) set really low (and by really low, I mean practically turned off), you might be able to get away with it. Otherwise you'll need to attenuate the signal before putting it into the phono source. You could do this, but would end up with a fairly lousy signal to noise ratio, and therefore probably wouldn't be worthwhile.

Cheers...

Radio Shack used to sell a line level attenuator that looks like a RCA to RCA connector. I used them for recording on a recorder that didn't have a line in. Maybe you can find some on the internet.
If not here's a web site that has plans to make them:

Hope this helps,
