Sujet GIGAPORT vs Ground Loop Isolator

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

I am currently running my laptop into one channel of my mixing board using your standard RadioShack Ground Loop Isolator... Quite honestly the sound isn't that bad at all... Keep in mind this is for mobile DJing at weddings... So to the common ear no big difference from CD's....

Besides being able to use multi-channels etc... How great is the sound improvement using a gigaport instead?

Thanks,

Vin

depending on the quality of your laptop soundcard, and even more the way your mp3's are coded, I would not say it make such a huge difference...

In general quality most consumer soundcards are the same. Spending some money on a "better" soundcard, might give better dynamics and so.... but there are always "bottlenecks" no matter what

- coding of mp3
- DAC converters
- Quality of parts in your external mixer
- cables you use
- amp

Dont be surpriced if you can't tell any difference at all :)
