What do you mean by talk over?

What hardware are you using to perform talkover, and what plugin.

And in record settings did you select Master + Microphone for recording?

I Am using the Hercules MK2 and mic control v1.2 with and without plug in and I have my recording settings to master+mic. I can hear the mic and the music but when I push the button for talk over on the MK2 in record mode the music does not go low.

Does anyone's talkover work when recording to a file or broadcasting live on internet radio?

Hi jbuley1,

When you press the talk-over button on the DJ Console Mk2, the signal coming from the microphone input is added on the main 1-2 outputs.

You can set the talk-over attenuation for the 1-2 outputs in the control panel.

For example, you activate the talk-over feature and set the attenuation to -3dB in the control panel.

If you press the talk-over button, the music on the 1-2 outputs is going to be attenuated from 3dB, while talking in the microphone.

You will hear the mic and the music at the same time on the 1-2 outputs.

In talk-over mode, the mic + output mix is analog only.

You will need to loopback the 1-2 outputs to the inputs of the Mk2 (or another external sound device) to record that "mic talk-over + music" sound result.
