What is the problem exactly. Are you asking what hardware do you need or what are some of the settings in VDJ. We need some more info to be able to help.

You need music videos on DVD. You can join promo only and get great videos each month.
Then you need software to rip the videos into you computer. Ulead makes excellent software or use ImTood DVD ripper. I think it's very important to have the best hardware possible, including a fast hard drive. (ie 10,000 rpm WD raptors) A good video card and good soundcard.
Once you rip the videos you want, be sure to rename them and place them in your music videos folder.
Purchase VDJ 3.4. PURCHASE VDJ!
Open the files the same way you do mp3s.
Now, when you play videos you will see the main video screen open up. You can maximize the window or asign the window to a 2nd video output on your video card. If you have a 2nd output and a projector you will really be in business.
It does take some time to master video mixing, but if you're committed, you can make it happen. Take your time and ask for help. You will find lots of valuable advice in the forums.
