Sujet Problems with time-coded vinyl

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Hi, I just recently bought VDJ time-coded vinyl, and I am trying it out with the VDJ demo before I buy. I am using a Maya 44 soundcard, with two Technics 1200's.

There are digital artifacts in the sound, and when I scratch, the scratching sounds absolutely awful, with TONS of terrible-sounding digital artifacts. One deck seems to be worse than the other, and it's not a cartridge problem, I've tried swapping.

I also have the DjDecks software, and both decks work perfectly in that software. I do like VDJ more though, and would love if I could get this to work.

I would really appreciate any help/tips.

Thanks!

Hi,

First, check your sampling rate. It should be at 44.1. Then make sure that you grounded your turntables into your computer. You can do so by screwing your ground into a pc chassis screw. Now another thing is that the demo version wont support ASIO, be sure to be aware of that.

Tell me if the problem persists.
Karlo.
