im just starting to get in becoming a dj. i was just wondering if anyone had any ideas of what products i should get to get started. i was looking at the dj console mk2 but i dont know what to look for. any books i should read on it or anything on the internet? well thats it anything that you guys can help me to get me started would be great

Well if your looking for products, you need to decide where you want to go with your DJing.
Like, are you planning on DJing in clubs, or just at home?
Do you want vinyl or CD decks?
Do you plan on using VDJ with them?
To get you started try some different web sites

www.decks.co.uk (English site)
www.skratchworx.com (A general DJ site)
Hope this pushes you in some sort of direction

im going to be djing at small partys and at my house and hopefully plan on using vdj.

Sounds to me like the Hercules DJ Controller. It's a mixer and sound card all in one, and it's nice and compact.

Yep, thats a good way to go. I havent actually got a Hercules, but I have heard they are good.
