Sujet: Which software is the easiest for remixes

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

The title says it all, i've been going through a few titles like acid and i'm finding it complex and that it doesn't really work all too well for remixing as things seem to get out of sync really easily. What software would be a good pick, i'm looking for something that isnt too complicated but still has good results.

virtual dj!!

or steinburg remix

but vdj better

I think acid is the best for remixes, I have been using since it was sonic foundry acid. Once you understand how to use the beatmapper, your sync problems will be solved. It was not intended for live remixes however, for that, try Ableton Live.

I would suggest you take a better look at acid. Version 6 is out now, it is expensive but extensive as it relates to features.

I agree.

i now use remix from steinburg it cost 4 pounds lol

and its amazing :)

like ableton

I have not used remix before, but I have been using acid (pro version) for a long time and the program is as limited as your imagination when it comes to remixes. As we say in Jamaica, IT BAD NUH RAAS.

:)

the famous protools le.

yeh i love that

but u need the mbox

I only use my x-fi soundcard and most vst plugins work fine.

Believe it or not, I've used FruityLoops for a few remixes. Not only is the software easy to use, but very very versatile.

Hummm, interesting take. I have a copy of acid but i found it complex to use. Seeing as its the best which would be a good route to take? Buying a book such as the power of acid pro 6? All i want to do at this point is perform remixes and i spent a fiar amount of time trying but the songs always come out of sync. I'm not looking for the program to do live remixes btw, thats what i use VDJ for ;)

Try the Ableton Live Demo.

It takes a bit of getting used to, but usually is spot on with sync between tracks. And it's great for live remixes, triggering loops etc in front of an audience. The effects are spot on too.

Making a real remix is actually producing a whole new song (from original 'idea'), and is pretty much pointless to do it without original tracks (recordings), unless you can sample some clean parts from the original (which is of course illegal without obtaining a permission from original author). To create an original remix, you should use sequencers such as Steinberg's Cubase, Apple's Logic, Fruity Loops, Propellerheads' Reason (mainly synthesizer) or something similar.

Otherwise you're only making a low quality "mix". But hey, people have lots of hobbies :P
