your splitter needs to spit out 2 mono signals, not 2 stereo..

I never could get it to work either, and never got an easy explanation on exactly how to det it up using
a splitter. I could hear only one deck on the earphones, but could hear both decks playing on the main speakers. Tryed various setups and configs and just did not work like the instructions say that it should.

I see, but my question is how to get the headphones to preview only the songs in the list and/or preview the other deck that is not out on the main system. How to do this with a splitter?

Most headphone splitters just turn the same thing into 2.

You need one that splits into L and R female headphone plugs.

Left red wire(pos) to tip ot main plug, Right red wire to ring of main plug. Both Black(neg) to ground of main plug.

cheers

I tried using a stereo splitter with a left and right mono output. Couldn't get it to work.
gave up and
Went to ext. card.
