Sujet: Sound Problem

Hello Everyone

I m new to this software, and I m trying to learn this but the sound that I m getting out of my speakers is distorted and I have to go to the config menu and change the latency all the times to make it sound right. I can't even touch anything on the screen........Please advice what should I do.

what are your computer specs?
 
I have a Sony Vaio laptop FE series........with a sigmatel sound card, do you need anything more?????

Ive been having the same problem but i found it useful if you close out all other programs, even your virus protector and disconnect from the internet, the software will run better, you can also see what programs are taking up alot of your resources by doing a ctrl+alt+delete and go to processes and click on the mem usage tab and it will put the programs in order of which one is using more memory and you might wanna end process on the ones that are using up alot of memory
