No seriously Atomix, we need this! =)
Maybe it won't make it in 4.2 r2, but probably in 4.2 r3 that will be out in 37 minutes.

Ah... the gift of taking is mo' better than the gift of giving. =)
Nothing says "HAPPY HOLIDAYS" better than a good, old fashioned, thread hijacking! =P

Is it only the dual soundcard issue that has changed in this update?
Posté Mon 25 Dec 06 @ 6:41 pm
Where's the list that shows what's been fixed? If there isn't could someone please tell me what the changes are?

had a bit of a play after christmas lunch and i love it, the tracking is MUCH better when backspinning and there is no POP as it corrects its missalignment! well done virtual DJ
couple of problems tho, when using smart mode on the worn/ dirty side of my timecode it sometimes jumps to a random part of the song as if i had needle dropped or something, it did that about 3 times in a 1 hr set.
also for some reason when the timecode runs out it doesn go to internal mode like it used to and carry on playing, now it just keeps going until it runs rite off the end of the reccord and the music stops dead?!!?!
that last one happens on both sides of the disk
i usualy use reletive mode but the 'auto tc bypass when at 11:30 of the 12mins mode' thing not working pretty much sucks
but all in all a good update

use a vinyl cleaning kit
the needle will jump when it comes into contact with dirt or dust
this is the same for all vinyls which jump

and when the record runs out the song runs out, thatts jus like a real vinyl;...... wouldnt u want to bethat way????? i would, or just dont let the needle run out off the end.

the two of you make me laugh sometimes lol, enthusiastic tho
it didnt use to run out before, why now? its not like its a bonus feature to mess up your set is it? im sure there is going to be an option to turn this back on somewhere because the way it was before was great. having vinyl with particles of dust on is not going to make the needle jump halfway across the vinyl and needle drop itself there.
the concern i have is that my dirty timecodes are tricking VDJ into thinking that it has been needledroped somewhere else by missreading a timestamp, but then shouldnt it jump rite back as soon as it reads the next timecode properly? the signal meter in the settings is allways around 100 even tho they arent nice and shiny deep black like the other sides
