Anyone having any problems with the Fader start effect? I have the latest version of the plugin and it doesn't appear anywhere in the effects. I liked using it in the past as it was very practical.

check if it is in the sound fx folder in the virtual dj program folder
 
What's the name of the effect, I haven't seen it in the plugin download place?

Did I miss something (obviously did)?

Yup, ok, I got it. But even after reading about it,
I'm still not sure exactly what it does?

What is it intended to do; in simple terms?
 
fader start

means that the music doesnt start until you move the fader like on cd mixers :)

say i move the fader to deck B , it starts

A stops
 
It is in the sound effects, but doesn't show any on or off capabilities , parameters, or any way to activate/unactivate it?

What may be the problem, here?

Do you use Windows XP Sp2?

I have just verified: FaderStart still works with VirtualDJ v4.2r1
 
Yes. Service pack 2 is installed, should it be or should it NOT be.
You were not very clear as to which?
 
 
Mine still doesnt work. Why is that?
 
I just d/led it, and it shows up in the window where you select the effect, but when you select it, it go to the brake effect instead. :(
 
i will compile the dll again in one week with my old computer.
 
actually, it pauses instead of stopping the song ;then it restarts the song where it left off @ instead of @ the beginning
 
In my case, it shows up in the effects, but doesn't actually show any means of being able to activate or make any adjustments of any kind whatsoever.

Excellent effect otherwise, though - I've used it to good effect in many of my mixes.

Change the option on deck 1 and 2 with sliders: select "stop" instead of "pause"
 
@ dj cel... that should do it;

I only loaded the plug in to test for foamgod;I personally have fader start on my external mixer (on the crossfader and on the line sliders =-P
 
Hi guys

Just want to now how to leave it on full time...when you load a new song it deactivates the Fader start and you have to turn it back on
