As of January 1st, 2007, the professional DJ software TRAKTOR 3 is no longer compatible with FinalScratch 2.
Additional Information:
As announced in October 2006, the successful partnership with Stanton Magnetics based on the pioneering FinalScratch digital DJ system will not be exceeded after December 31st, with both companies focusing on their respective product lines from that date on.
In the future, the DJ Division of Native Instruments will completely concentrate its operations on the TRAKTOR platform, and will also develop integrated solutions for the DJ market based on its own internal hardware engineering capabilities and expertise.
a bid to incorporate former customers may be anounced later this year.

Glad i jumped that ship earlier this year for several reasons.
I actually MOSTLY ditched [or didn't re-purchase... don't ask] Final Scratch because of the Native Instruments forum mods who got mad at me because I held them accountable for releasing an Intel Mac version of TDJS 3 that they had promised in the early 2nd quarter of '06. They even had the nerve to announce it within a week of the Intel Macs being introduced on January 10'th of last year at MacWorld San Franciso.
They just made their poorly planned announcement to ride Apple's publicity wave... January 16th, I believe it was. 3 months later In the 1st week of April when the product was already do and we were waiting for the final release, they started asking for us Intel Mac based FS/Traktor users to start requesting to be Beta testers and that they would begin Beta testing in May! Within a week of that announcement they conveniently pushed their release date back to 3rd quarter of '06 and then i think it finally got pushed back to October [I think].
Without getting into too much detail, I basically told them to F**K OFF in May since I had already bought my Hercules MK2 in March and was just using that until I was gonna buy [I thought] the RANE TTM-57SL 2 CHANNEL DJ MIXER W/ SCRATCH LIVE.
It was NI's level of incompetence and blatant direspect/disregard to their smaller, but much more high profile [I used to use FS with Motiv8 of our friends the Black Eyed Peas at "The Highlands" in the Beverly Center here in Los Angeles] portion of it's customer base, MAC USERS, that caused me to ditch them and subsequently tell them that their FS/Traktor digital dj solution would be out of business within a year because of all that.
Hehe... suckerz! =D
Good for VDJ and Virtual Vinyl! Now we just gotta bring down the 800 pound SSL Gorilla!!! =O
I TOLD YOU THIS WOULD HAPPEN NAIVE INSTRUMENTS!!!...t hey hated it when I always purposely misspelled Native with "Naive" but, too bad, they were. ;)

I think Bush is working on that.
He's violated all of our rights as US citizens and segregated us from the rest of the world already.
SMS useage on internet forums criminalization and federal prosecution has GOT to be on his list somewhere.
SMS messaging is just as responsible for 9/11 as Iraq and Saddam were... which means that it had nothing to do with 9/11.
Luckily, we took the power out of extremely corrupt Republican hands in the elections in November.
Now less corrupt Democrats [but still corrupt... they're politicians, what do you expect?] can [hopefully] stop the cycle of Bush administration madness that we've endured for the past 6 years.
A VDJ FORUMS FIRST FOR ME!!!
