Hi,

I have been using VDJ for a while now and I am considering purchasing an MK2. I was going to buy some proper dc decks but £131 (the price of MK2) seems a lot better than £300 (a decent set of non mp3 playing cd decks!)

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could help me with a few questions :-)

1) Firstly is MK2 any good?
2) Secondly. Do you attach speakers directly to the MK2 or can you use your PC speakers as the output. Sorry if this is a dumb question but I really am a novice with all this.

Thanks for any advice on this, it will be much appreciated.

I Have MK1 and it suck but lot's of good stuff out there on the MK2..

If your using MK2 with sound card, Go to speakers for MK2

If you using mp3 console, Computer to speakers

if you buy the mk2 it gives you room to move into technologies such as timecoded vinyl or cd

it aslo alows quick control over the software and is great for quickfire acess to loops and fx

and pitch

aslo you can then buy pro vdj at a
discounted price

i own the mk2 and its great, i still have to try it with TCVs but hopefully it will work well... one problem with the mk2 is that the jog wheels come in the way of crossfading and scratching is hard, also the buttons are squeezed together so one wrong move and ur song might go off beat! this is embarrasing if ur playing at a gig.
