Yeah!

I saw that months ago, but could test it.

Anyone?

ubuntu 10.10 for desktop and netbook are both out. I am going to experiment with both. If anyone has any info or tips, please share it here. in theory ubuntu would work great, but it hasn't been tested/perfected. If it proves to successful, this would benefit all dj's trying to get the max from their software without compromising their system or quality.

VirtualDJ won't run on Ubuntu natively; only through a VM (slow) and wine (doesn't run well).

It also wouldn't benefit most DJs, since a lot of DJ hardware doesn't have Linux drivers.

@ everyone:
Does anyone know WHAT hardware has linux drivers? if any?
I'm assuming non of the hardware controllers, and maybe a few of the audio cards?

thanx

Hercules do (RMX, Steel, MK2 and MP3).

Quite a lot of soundcards work under Linux; you'd have to check on a case-by-case basis though. My Ecler doesn't for example.

I'm sick of Windows...Please develop a version for Linux so I can DUMP Microsoft & WINDOWS

we need a linux version please

+1

Virtual DJ is almost the only software that force me to still use windows.

There's still no Linux driver support for most DJ controllers or DJ soundcards. Until that happens there is little point.
