I have a little tech problem not sure if u guys will be able to help me out.
I just bought a 200g hard drive(ide) and installed a new (OS) on it,now my other HD has only music and when the Computer boots up only the 200g one can be seen in start/ my computer but I can see both HDs in device manager, any body has an idea what the problem might be.
PS both HDs are of the same brand

When you buy a hard drive you format it before installing stuff on it...or at least that's the idea. If you had installed the other hard drive after you had finished installing everything on the new disk, you may have been ok.
I have added hard disks to my machine and never experienced these problems...although I do find it strange that it's finding it in device manager but not My Computer.
I would suggest turning off you system, unplugging the second (older) hard drive, and rebooting your machine. Then, shut down the machine again, plug the older hard drive back in, power up and see what happens. Hopefully the new drive will recognise the music drive as a new device and you will be sorted.
Good luck...and keep spinnin'...(",)

This is how you sort out the problem. Sometimes windows assigns the same drive letter for 2 drives, allowing only one to be seen in the tree.
Right click on my computer -> Manage -> Disk Management -> Right click on the drive which you CANNOT see in my computer -> Change drive letter and paths -> Change.
Then specify a letter which is not used.
Formatting doesnt seem like the issue because your OS is running fine off the new 200Gb drive, which must therefore be properly formatted anyway
I got this sometimes using a USB flash disk
Note : If you have 2 IDE drives in a master / slave configuration now that you have installed another drive, you may have to swap the jumper on the second hard drive to 'slave' mode so that it can be assigned in the tree. This jumper is located on the back panel where the IDE ribbon connects. However, if it is a SATA drive, then ignore this check
