Maybe because this one is the only one VDJ would like to rock?! ;)

@Marcel: ok, please where can i download the patch for VDJ<->BCD? :D

VDJ chose not to go this route the other ones did.

So VDJ choosed not to support the BCD even if they promised it ?
The fact that it works in some way seems to be more or less random then?!

That's not what i meant and you know it :P

Don;t split hairs.

VDJ supported it as much as they are able. Given Behringers (admitted) hardware problems.

Read the forums over in Tracktor and DJDECKS it still causes crashes there too, lots of users are ticked.
The fact that they decided to NOT include support in the full versions of the OTHER softwares is what I was going to. Even other softsware packages have issues - and to get support it's another download file.

So we are back to problem one.

Behringer's crappy product.

Yes i know what you mean. And i think you exactly know what i mean ;)

I use the BCD2K and traktor now for over 3 weeks and its running flawless with no crashes AND ALL IT'S FEATURES. (VDJ never did and i suppose it never will even with the BCD3K)

I'm reading the Native Forum every day, sorry i can't find many problems there referring the BCD.
There where some problems when the BCD came out but the Traktor users seem to be happy now(unlike the VDJ-Users wich are waiting for mic-support for over 1 1/2 years now).

What's the problem in downloading a patch to get something to work? Have you tried to count the M$-files you downloaded since XP came out?
If i could get mic- and full midi support from VDJ i'd download a hundrets of files/patches, if there were any ... ;)

So you see, i'm not splitting more hairs than you, maybe i split them from the other side.

VDJ 5 + BCD MAPPER v3.4 MORAMAX + BCD 2000 = BEST FCKING DJ SYSTEM (ECONO) ...will be 4 me if:

- VDJ with BCD freeze problem will be fixed (I hope it's only driver problem or IRQ)
- I'll earn 850 PLN for VDJ (in polish reality it's very very high price for an amateur so I must be sure I fixed freeze problem :( )

I have Dell XPS M1330 and in VDJ (demo) I'm using BCD ASIO driver or BCD Audio - unfortunately freeezing in both configurations :(

Only solution (but for me it's not enough) is when I use "2 sound cards" setting in VDJ - first BCD, second Sigmatel (notebook).
Works fine but PFL is not working properly.

Anyone found a solution?

UPDATE:
In my laptop (Dell XPS M1330) BIOS I don't see any IRQ settings :/

I wonder what do I need precisely? BCD is connected to my laptop by USB, and I use BCD audio...so I'm not interested in my laptop's soundcard IRQ, right? Only USB IRQ is important?

But...in other way VDJ freezed when I wanted to record my dj set so I used my laptop's soundcard. Bingo?
Problem is that laptop's soundacrd use other IRQ than USB... so there is no conflict between them.

I too have the bcd2000 and changed over to 3 different laptops hoping to find one that would give me less trouble and man yes it was my first controller and i lost faith fast, when it would nut up at house partys i would get on the mike and say who bumped the dj booth as a joke, Hate to say it but bite the bullet and get an RMX man its the best investment yet thing rocks and is solid....... Down with the BCD2000 and hail the RMX, Guess im gonna use my BCD as a DMX controller for lights on another laptop. :-)

Finally working: VDJ 5.2 + BCD 2000 + BCD MAPPER MORAMAX v3.3 = SUPER!

That's what I was thinking Brian

Looking to by a bcd2000 with vdj 5.0 revision 6

Does this problem persist in the bcd3000?

My laptop is brand new Dell Studio 15 its a pretty fast machine (dual core 2.4 ghz, 4 gigs of ram)

Shud i just spend the extra money and buy the totalcontrol???

Thanks!!

"Try Before You Buy"... VDJ is very expensive for polish people so I must be 100% sure that BCD & VDJ is compatible with each other. To check this I'm testing on my friend's software. It's not my...but it's not stolen.

Behringer answered:

Subject
BCD2000 freezing problem with BCD ASIO driver

Dear Customer,

The BCD2000 is discontinueed and won't be updated with a Vista Driver. Unfortunately this implies, that if you have taken the steps described on our homepage you only have to options:

- In case your BCD2000 was purchased less than 24 Month ago and is thus covered by our warranty, you are free to contact your BEHRINGER Dealer to get an upgrade to a BCD3000 (the Dealer is free to take your product back for a full credit - so you will only have to pay the difference amount to a BCD3000 / you are of cause free to print this conversation to proove your rights in the shop).

- In case your BCD2000 is not covered by our warranty anymore, or in case you don't want to update to the BCD3000 you would have to use a different computer.

We hope that we have been able to help you with this information.

Best regards,

Your BEHRINGER Customer Support Team

So is for Serbian too but you don't see me stealing the software. You have a trial that will last for 20 days which is more than enough to decide to buy or not.
Respect the company and support VDJ developing by purchase.
Regards

Did your read my post?
So don't be annoying.

Besides I can't imagine how professional or semi-pro (generally all earning money) djs can use pirated software. Impudence...

But it's offtopic. I only want to help other users to set BCD2K & VDJ without freezing.

Sorry if I "annoy" you, BUT you and your friend should read Disclaimer:

I'm using VDJ 5.2 - bcd2000 and it goes fantastic for a while then it freezes and the music stops. I have to close vdj and re-open and start again. This is doing my nut in!!!
I know the bcd is a fickle beast....I've tried turning off the wireless adapter. Stripped my laptop down to the basics just incase it was a cpu issue. I've got asio4all (not that i know what that's all about).
I've tried to get midi mapper but no joy.
The bcd2000 works fantastically with vdj - i love vdj - i used to be a traktor man but it's not a patch on vdj (user wise).
The really odd thing was, I dj'd in Finland (I'm based in UK) about a month ago, for 4 hrs solid and it worked like a dream. No pauses, freezes or funny business. I thought this was because I had absolutely no access to internet (wireless adapter) but I've tried that and it doesn't solve the problem.
I know it's silly, but do they have different electricity levels in Finland? Could this be why I was lucky for so long????

Any help greatly appreciated.

(Anyone used vdj with a novation nocturn? i think that might be good)

When freezing do not restart your VDJ.

Just run setup then switch from "BCD ASIO" to "ASIO" for a while, confirm OK and then run sound setup again and switch back to BCD ASIO. This would help without restarting VDJ.

To avoid freezing just do not use other sound cards. For example clicking on My Computer->C:\ or just exploring directories could be cause of freezing beacause it generates "click sound" when exploring.

When you try to record your own set and you push START RECORD button it could freeze. Unmark OVERWRITE CONFIRMATION and that would help.

I will not surrender until I find a complete solution to this problem. I'm close.

P.S. To my accusers: I'm just trying to help and get some help.
