UGH!!! OK so I have been waiting FOREVER for this skin.. now it's finally here and I get the error mentioned a few times a couple posts back...
"Invalid skin file (error line 0 in the xml)"
OK so in an attempt to fix it myself this is what I have done
1) Upgraded from rev4 to rev5
2) Downloaded and Installed the skin file again
3) Rebooted my computer
I launch Virtual Vinyl and I STILL get the same error. So I am guessing maybe it is either that
A) I have Virtual Vinyl NOT Virtual DJ or
B) Possibly is has something to do with running the Vista OS?
PLEASE can someone help????
Thanks

Download the Skin file save it to your HD .....copy it to your My Documents/Virtual Vinyl/Skins.... using 7 ZiP open it up....try again....see if that works.
BTW Great looking Skin Format!! I love it so far cant wait for the final version!!!

TearEmUp.. no that didn't work :-(
However I was messing around with the files in the ZIP archive and replaced the 2.0 xml file with the 1.3 xml file and I was able to launch the 2.0 skin.
The skin looks great til I attempt to use it HaHa then when I mouseover certain aspects of the skin I see the old 1.3 stuff
I also tried opening up the xml file in Dreamweaver to see if I could maybe just edit line 0 but there is NO line 0.. it begins at 1
How can there be an error in line 0 if there is no line 0???

When will 2.1 be available for others to use/test?
I DJ a good deal and would be a good candidate.
My only suggestion would be buttons to select cross fader selection like in Mixstation.

Posté Wed 07 Nov 07 @ 2:51 pm
I think you can renamed it version 2.5 instead of 2.1 with all the good job that you do on the skin ;-)
Posté Wed 07 Nov 07 @ 3:45 pm
Nah.. no luck on resizing the skin either...

I Vote for this skin of default for VDJ 5.1 !!!!!
Posté Fri 09 Nov 07 @ 2:47 pm
OK I kinda got it working.. in the OLD 1.3 xml file.. lines 13 thru 16 look like this:
<logo>
<size width="36" height="18"></size>
<pos x="24" y="5"></pos>
</logo>
but in the NEW 2.0 xml file.. lines 13 thru 16 look like this:
<logo>
<size width="36" height="18"></size>
<pos x="32" y="10"></pos>
</logo>
So what I did was change the NEW 2.0 xml file line 14 to match that of the OLD 1.3 xml file line 14.
I am now about to launch and use the 2.0 skin but take a look at how the logo kinda overlaps where it should not :-(
Any ideas how to fix?

<pos x="0" y="10"></pos>

<size width="36" height="18"></size>
<pos x="0" y="10"></pos>

Format.. thanks brotha.. not quite as clean as the way it was designed for DJ but it works. I tried to change the values for the width and height to make it look nicer but then I ended up with an error on line 13 so I guess I'll leave well enough alone :-)
Thanks again for the skin dude.. AWESOME work!!!
