4 new Numark Vinyl shipped to me since my last post, all I can say is that playing Surfing USA by the Beach Boys whilst watching the needle on the vinyl would be very appropriate. Manipulating the vinyl? What's that, I've heard you can do it with other timecodes.
To be fair, the Atomix vinyl from gen1 or gen2 were ok in terms of vertically warping, they were flat as flat can be. However, they do not hold their pitch past the first fifth of the vinyl. This is very clearly visible in v5 of VirtualDJ. Now with the Numark vinyl being constantly shipped from New York > Germany > England, I've not had much luck. They hold their pitch very well, just that it's a rollercoaster ride.
The Serato plugin would be useful. I can pick Serato vinyl up in some DJ shops or at the very least have it shipped to me from the UK.

Your problems with the Pioneer CDJ's might be due to the fact that they ARE VERY LOUD PLAYERS!!!!!!
There's a utility for burning timecoded CD's in the plugins section .
Basically you reduce the volume on the TCCD by 13db and all should be well.
Pioneers seem the most prone to this problem.

If you think Atomix is slow at releasing plug-ins... check out Serato website for the video plug-in
I anticipate that it will probably be released with 5.1 in time for those waiting for a xmas present :)

I hate when they say something then nothing happens for months and months they're better off not saying anything in the first place until they have everything sorted! Just makes the wait longer and frustrating.
Just my 2c

You know what the problem is?
Once they release this plugin nobody would want to use VirtualDJ vinyl, everybody will buy the Serato vinyl, as we all know better quality material, much precise grooves and sexy looking (talking about the color ones).
So that’s why they will never release something like that, but in the mean time untill maybe they going to change the manufacturer we are still going to use this toy TC vinyl from them. (warped, of center hole, lack of groove tracking, cheap label, gets dirty very easy….)
Also did you check how may reads this thread has?
