Sujet: 50.5 Problem (warning message) - Page: 1

Cette partie de ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes

I just loaded Rev.5 It was working fine until I went to shut the system down. This is the message I got...... "Warning! The system was unresponsive. Virtual DJ has performed a recovery and should now work OK again. Still, you might want to restart the software next time it's convenient enough for you to do so."
So, I restarted the software & got the same message when I went to shut down a second time. What can I do to fix this?

WOW!

We're already on version 50.5 (according to your threads title)?!!!!

I have GOT to start checking for updates more frequently. I didn't even know we were in double digit versions yet!!!

;)

I saw a thread yesterday claiming that the recovery worked just fine, so I'm not sure why you're circumstance was different. Better wait for one of the teamers or someone else who may have encountered this issue and resolved it to address this.

Good luck!

I also saw a post earlier stating some controllers are having issues disconnecting when its time to power down. Sorry don't remember where or I would give a link.

I use a DAC3 controler, Windows XP, Dell XPS 1710 with 2g of RAM....Virtual DJ 5.0 Rev.5... still need help with this problem THANKS!!

So have you tried it with the DAC disconnected?

Mine i does the same thing ONLY when i shut down the software with the dac3 unit connectected to the usb port.
When i don't have the unit connected it's fine.

Mine gives me that message when I recurse a folder, and i'm not using any external controllers. I did post on it but no one was able to help.

OK, for those having this problem with a controller plugged in. Is it plugged into the PC directly or through a hub? If through a hub, try it directly plugged into the PC.

Next one, this is for XP only. Try the following.

1) Search for and install the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard.

Did that work? If no, go to 2

2) Unplug ALL USB devices and follow this :-

Remove and reinstall all USB controllers
To remove and reinstall all USB controllers, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, and click Control Panel, and then click Performance and Maintenance.
2. Click System, and then click the Hardware tab.
3. Click the Device Manager button.
4. Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
5. Right-click every device under the Universal Serial Bus controllers node, and then click Uninstall to remove them one at a time.
6. Restart the computer, and then reinstall the USB controllers. (this will happen automatically)
7. Plug in the removable USB storage device, and then test to make sure that the issue is resolved.

Did that fix it?

How many files do you have roughly?

Does it do this with ALL folders? ie, if you make a folder and put say 50 mp3's in it, then point VDJ to that folder and recurse, do you still get that message?

I've been getting the same dam thing but I'm using the NTC. It's shut me down yesterday midstream an karaoke set. not happy.

I tried all the steps TopHouse suggested, got same error message and have the same problem. This didn't fix it. I really need to resolve this, I have several events this weekend and need to get this fixed.

Hi Bob Fauci DJ, I’ll keep an eye on this thread but if you come across a fix, please message me.

I found this to only happen to me once a show and after it reboots, it doesn’t happen again.
I’m not certain if this is related but if I leave VDJ open running idle, my computer will freeze up.
Could you see if this happens to you as well?

I left it on about 6 hours... no freeze up...I still get the same message when shutting down the system....Thanks for the try!!

Are you saying that you get the that message every time you shut down. It pops up for me when VDJ crashes and after the computer reboots itself.

The freeze up must be a glitch in my computer. But did you use the computer or did you leave it idle.

Thanks

I get the message when shutting down the system...but I did try what you said...I left it idle, and it was fine...thanks

If you go to the Remote control section and deactivate your controller's then shutdown - does the error message pop up ?

And you said --

You are closing VirtualDJ before Shutting down your system - correct ?

Paul - are you using the onboard sound chip of your machine ? Or do you have a different sound card ? Couldn't tell by looking at your blog.

24bt SBlive External.

Thanks for the heads up.

Keep in mind, this message appears only on this version... don't try to modify anything in your configuration because you won't get anywhere. Don't jump and screw around with your laptop configuration and settings....again....it use to work perfect before, right? It's 100% the problem with this release, they will need to fix this probably releasing a new version (or maybe a patch).
