You've really got this thing goin, lol.

I can't see why they can't produces coloured vinyl. The price might go up but I think people wouldn't mind. They would look amazing on some 1210's.

The white vinyls cost a lot more to make so count on them being more in price if were were going to do them. I'd say if there were at least 1000 people interested, I don't see any problem in making them for you guys. I just don't want to be stuck with 1000 vinyls in the warehouse no-one wants. Right now I see 8 people have voted. So again I have to question the interest in making color vinyls ;)
 
@DJ Cyder,

If the team decided to go with coloured ones would Numark be happy taking some of VDJ hand's, if the TCV they use are the same as our's. ?????

If they were advertised as being in stock - ready to go there might be more insterest.

The easiest sale to make is one when the customer has the product in they're hand.

I know pretty good response, now we just need 1k people wanting to buy some Vinyl.
 
Let me turn on this other hat for one minute.

He is the deal. Granted there is interest in having colored vinyls but I can't justify the cost to management if there is minimal return. The reason we make black vinyls is because they are the standard. We know they don't sit around. Its a large risk so to speak again I point to the 8 people that did vote. Manufacturing anything takes time, and usually a high cost is involved. Now maybe I'm wrong and I hope I am. However the reason we didn't do it last year or the last time it was brought up is just plain lack of interest. So for the 20 so that did order them what do we do with the other 980 pieces taking space in the warehouse? Understand I think its a great idea, however I just don't think many are interested in colored vinyl enough to justify it quite yet. I think if you guys are serious about doing this get a petition together with signatures and email it to corporate@virtualdj.com
 
I hear you on that....Ok, my job now is to transform everyone on this forum to TCV!!! (and mac's for ConQuest ha!!)
 
Hey Cyder if you dont mind me asking, how long would it normally take for you guys to sell 1K TCV?

If you were in a room full of dj's and asked them what is the 1st TC djing software that pops in your head? I think we all know what the #1 answer would be.

No one here has to agrue that VDJ is the best overall dj solution on the market but it's TCV user are kind of a minority.

I'm willing to bet if more high profile turntable dj's were to use VDJ a lot more TCV would be sold.

Oh yes, I've never seen colored vinyls in a console! I think they would just look amazing... and they WILL make interest ;-)
 
What about then, just producing another colour other than black e.g. Red, a test sample of 100 say, and see how it go from there. If they don't sell VDJ could fob them of to Numark, lol.

This time of year not long ;) Understand we are a worldwide company as well.

It would be great if I could get a pressing plant to agree on a run that small. However this isn't the case most of them won't even talk to you for less then 1000 and be cost effective.
 
Would VDJ be willing to charge more for the color in exchange for a lower number of pressings? Or, would there be an additional charge for colored vinyls?
 
We'd consider it of course, tell you guys what I'll make some calls tomorrow and find out more, should be able to get you a rough per unit estimate by tomorrow afternoon. Understand I'm with you guys on this one, I think its a great idea and of course Atomix is dedicated to supporting our community. Sounds like you guys are all pretty serious this time around.
 
They would look sweet with the a new logo on them too *cough-NORWAY-cough* maybe two logos one for Radio and one for VDJ v5...just a thought..

Thanks DJ Cyder, and if they do agree and give the go ahead. I would be one of the first ones to order a pair. I'm in the process of setting my decks back up after a house move and I'll need some TCV soon.

I would definately buy me some of these if they were in and Im pretty sure so would alot of people if they knew that they were actually in sotck... Ohh and White vinyl FTW!:P
