Have you looked at the Toshiba range. Top class I think and very popular amonst us here.

USA. My son is going back to collage on Monday and he's taking my backup laptop with him so I need to replace it fast.

I do not mind ordering online but would like to buy one at a local store.

Nice specs for the price !

80 gb hard drive is very small , you should choose a bigger one , like 160. 80 gb would last less than a month.

A bigger drive would be nice but I use a USB drive to hold all my music and thats 500gb and only leaves me with 125gb free.
I like the 2gb memory.

The links ubove have others that are on sale in the AM if you see something eles that would be good. 5am is coming soon.
 
The dam Dell didn't have a S-video Or RCA out.
