Cette partie de ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes

Ok, I have got to invest some money in to a controller. I will be using it for both Nightclub and Mobile DJ work. Which would you suggest?

  • TotalControl By Numark
  • DJ Console Mk2 by Hercules
  • DJ Control Mp3 by Hercules
  • BCD2000 by Berhinger

Or am I missing the best one? Thanks for your help!

The two easiest and most integrated with VDJ are the Total Control and MK2

Personally I would use the Total COntrol - it's not as cramped

What about the Vestax VCI-100 and the Denon HC-4500 ???
I think both will be awesome when native support get relased.

+1 for the Numark TotalControl ! With the DJ i|O sound card it's a pleasure to use...trust me -> i tried and bought it,i'm gonna get it on december 14th normaly :)

Whatever you do, do not buy the Behringer! I own the TC and the DJ i/o works nice. The Dennon is reportedly very nice but...you would still need a mixer. The Herc MK2 has worked very well for a great number of people but, as Marcel stated it is small and if you have larger hands it is difficult to use. The one strong point the Herc MK2 has is it does have its own built in sound card. So this is a personal choice and will be one only you can make in the end.

what's wrong with the Behringer! ? if u don't like it just say so,but Behringer BCD3000 is way! batter then the Herc MK2 more pro looking and useing, there is more VDJ can do to make the bcd3000 work better with the software i have try it with many orther dj software out there it work a 100%.so my friend if u are looking for that controller u got three companys Behringer,Dennon,Numark.Vestax for a company that's doing dj things for so long they could have done batter

This persons question was about the BCD 2000, which I happen to own and never use, its a P.O.S. Cant comment on the 3K...so feel free...

oh ok,yeah the bcd2000 was bs but Behringer BCD3000 is good it's on sale for $169 but for me i'm going to wait till numark and denon make thie thrid controller in 2k9

You do not have to stick your hand in the fire, to know it's hot. Do you own a quality mixer already? I am not a big fan of the "all in one" thing. If one of the three components fails, you are out all three; mixer, sound card, and controller while it is being repaired.

well i'll mix right out my pc it has a pro sound card all 1/4 inc out i think your amp will more go out then one of this all in one i'm djing for 28 years now i'm getting too old to carry things all over the place lol, hope the next denon will have a mixer lol

I have a PCI pro sound card in my desk top now, and after three years, one of the 1/4 inch channels, is touchy now. That's because I setup 5 days a week in a club, and on weekends doing mobile. If you keep sticking something in a hole over and over, trust me, the hole will get bigger. Now if you do a gig here and there, you won't have this problem. But if you think you can work everyday, and one of these inputs won't give out, then be my guest. Some equipment will give out, just because it wants to. That's what I have learned in the 40 years I have been doing this. However, I am not getting to old to do this. I bring in more stuff than the other DJs put together, maybe that's why my show is so much better. Nah, I'm just better.

We're still talking controllers and electronics right?

I knew you would pick that up. Don't know what you might be implying.

For the price you could buy two!

As far as "all in one" controllers go, I would say that the Total control looks to be the "best value for money", whilst the Hercules is ok but limited to just how far you can go with it, it's viable but can be a struggle (the mixer is useles IMO), the Vestax is a nice unit but not natively supported because of the few users (due to its price).

Currently the product that I find the most exciting would have to be the CDJ-400, it's as "all in one" as I could wish for: CD/MP3 player, USB connectivity (HD etc), Midi controller and onboard soundcard with digital outputs, I think it's a quality product at a good price point.., but you will obviously need a mixer (something which I enjoy having, and feel it will always be better to have a traditional mixer over a midi mixer, except for when dabbling in video).

Thanks for the info I didn't know about the Behringer BCD3000 so that helped.

I was leaning toward the Numark Total Control and Switched to the Herc but as I look more at the BCD3000 I am thinking that might be the best choise for me. Another questions is DJ|iO AUDIO INTERFACE that important? Not to sound dumb here but what does it bring to the table?

Yes the DJ i/o is important if you do not have two soundcards in your PC. The Total Control is NOT a soundcard so you will not be able to preview your music without some kind of dual/ext sound card system.

Just looking again and I am 99% sold back to the Hercules DJ Console Mk2. The soundcard is one of the things I am looking for. I have been djing without previewing the next track (not an easy thing to do) on my laptop and this shold help that. So with the Herc I don't think I need the i/o correct?

correct...
