Hi, and welcome to VIRTUAL DJ forums!
Important stuff if you considering video mixing:
A graphics card with DEDICATED ram (256mb preferred), don't be fooled by specs stating "hypermemory", "shared video ram" etc.
Plenty of SYSTEM ram (2048 MB preferred)
A good dual-core CPU (2.00gHz or higher preferred)
A 7200 RPM harddrive
Other specs are up to you (screen-size, wireless network adapter, dvd-burner etc)
A big external harddrive holding your videos
These are my personal suggestions; and ofcourse to buy the programs - giving access to skins, samples and other plugins + FREE updates of Virtul DJ.
On a personal note I can recommend Zepto notebooks: www.zepto.com
Most notebooks holds a S-video out, which can be used to connect to a projector, LCD screen or similar. In config > Video you can activate it. If you use VGA to connect to other screens I think you'll have to "extend your desktop to another screen" in windows, but s-video out should work ok anyways.
Good luck and hope to see you as pro. user here on our forums!
