Cette partie de ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes

why is it that for some songs the time counter starts at 0, for others (example Benassi Bros. Feel Alive) it starts at -01:07.4

examples:

Royal Gigolos - Self Controll: -00:22.2
Supermode- Tell My Why: -01:59.1
Enur & Mims - Calabria: 00:45.7

This is your brain, This is your brain on drugs. Just say no. I'm gonna give you a few minutes to get this yourself. Come on, it's been 5 minutes. Step away from the pipe. Only 4 minutes left. I'm pulling for you, you can do it.

Ding, ding. Times up. You see the waveform window, it's divided in half. If you load a track, and part of it's waveform is to the left of the middle line, that is part of the song that has past the 0.00 mark. You may not see any part of the waveform over there, but there is a part of the song over there, you just can't hear it. It all depends on when the recorded start point is. Now you can change that if you use cue points. Move the waveform around a little, and see what you get.

By The way, you are not dumb. It would have been dumb, not to have asked the question.

wtf, im seriously psyched out...........look at the pretty colours......

i get what you are saying, now im very very picky when it comes to my mp3s, after i rip, i like to use audacity to edit the files, i like to set them so that they have 1 second of empty space at both ends, so why does it go back that far when ive only set the files to one sec before any audible sound.

I'm not familiar with audacity, but are you setting to start 1 sec before any audible sound, or are you getting rid of any data before that 1 sec mark?

i set it so i have 1 second before any audible sound, if there are 3 seconds of silence at the beginning i trim it to one.

so, when i press play there is one second silence and then the song starts.

You can use Audacity to trim the files so they all have the same sized space in front of the songs, but why? I just use the cue points if it is too long.

like i said, its just the way i like to do things, but i do not understand why VDj is inconsistant with the files.

I see what you are saying, but does that get rid of any data that is before your set point. I set a cue point in VDJ, but the data before that cue point is still there. I want to know if it is the same way, when you edit with audacity. Are you deleting the data, or just ignoring it?

i have all my music on an external HD, before the file is transferred to that HD and scanned by VDJ i edit that file

AMaHM every song is different...I notice it on a lot of my files too...but choose to ignore it

Smoking that shit, and suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Damn, you are plucked up.

tell me about it! so is this a bug in vdj or is the shyat im smoking?

To be honest, I have never even noticed that, because for one reason, I don't care, even now that I know. Is it possible it's a Tag thing, or the way it was ripped?

so i take it your files dont do that?

You are funny. If they do I don't care, really. I try to do as little as possible. This whole software thing was supposed to make our lives easier. I remember I used to spend my time in record stores, now I spend it on forums. We would buy the record and then.........Play it, that's it. Now we have to analyze, tenderize, moisturize, put 1 sec in the front and back (You need help), tag, tweak, upgrade, install, uninstall. So, little stuff I either don't see, don't care, or deal with it. The whole software thing just allows me to carry massive amounts of music and now videos, with me. I did not have all that stuff before software, and I was still a great DJ. It's like when I tried to buy my mother an air conditioner. She had been without all those years, she said, "why do I need it now", she was used to the heat.

Don't forget to water it aswell AMaHM...hehe

you are funny, if you think i need help all you have to do is ignore the post, you dont need to tell the rest of the forum how acustomed your mother is to the heat, if she is i dont care, really.
But when it comes to that thing i do that pays the bills and puts food on the table for my family i give a shyt. Specially when it comes to something that i paid for.
You are obviously dealing with this issue because you keep on replying, if you dont really care IGNORE THE FCUKING POST. Dont be an obnoxious MF telling me i need help.

Wow, you really went off the deep end. Go back and read every reply I made to you. Every one of my post was done in humorous manner. When I said (you need help), it was done in a humorous manner. You mean you got the humor in every post but the last one? However, if you did not get it, that's OK also. I can only put it out there, I can't make you see it the way I intended. Your last post showed me who you are, and I respect that. I can't change you, but I can change how I respond to you.

Peace
