Anybody know of any viruses out there or rumoured to be out there that attack .avi or .divx files? Or maybe anybody heard of this problems before.....
recently (within the last 3-4 weeks I am discovering my videos (all .avi files) are for some unexplained reason developing black video spots at the 2:15 mark into the song and they range from just a few blank frames to several seconds of blank (the audio is uneffected)....
I know these videos were just fine. When I rip new videos into the computer I always check them and when I edit them I always check them before putting them in the library. At first I noticed it on the downloads from "MY12Inch.com" and though maybe it was something to do with the conversion from their mp4 format to .avi (I use the program SUPER for that) or maybe a problem with my video card or virtualdj just flaking out for a few seconds, but I actually checked the files in Sony Vegas and there actually are video frames now missing.
It is now showing up on dozens of files ripped from my promo only and tm century discs also....the weird thing, like I said is these are files I play almost every night (and some that haven't been played in awhile) and they were fine until this started about 3 weeks ago with a few and now has become significant........this is really disturbing anybody have any clues?
