Sujet: 2008 the year of the controller

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

18 days into the new year and I can't believe what I'm seeing on the forum, it's awesome.

I wonder what else will be out this year.......maybe VirtualDJ 5.1, lol ( only kidding )

Which company will be the most successful, can't wait to find out.

Rune,
you're missing a couple:
- Pioneer MEP7000
- Pioneer Sep C1
- Denon DN-HC4500
- Denon DN-S1200
- Stanton Scs-1m

ups! my bad;) hehe..
Didnt even know about a few of those...

it sure is getting "crowdy" ... lots and lots to choose from

Information on all could be found on skratchworx. The Stanton ones look also very nice, also with a motorised platter.

Just a tip: edit you original post and delete mine ;-)

I have to agree with you on the Stanton one.

OO

Realistically, how many controllers can/should VDJ support? Sure people are going to be shouting "support this, support that", but it is coming to a point where one has to be selective.

By tradition, Rane got it right again by selecting few midi controllers for both SSL and the new "Itch" (admittedly making a bad decision with the Numark controller) and choosing to support them COMPREHENSIVELY, probably adding more 'select' controllers to the list gradually. This is the way to go if a company is to look after their customers properly.

VDJ will either have to risk making a decision on controllers (like everybody else), or continue to be the "jack of all trades" as it's famously known for being.

Well, I guess there's not much doubt that they know we're out there now, huh?
;)

finally it looks like bye bye vinyls, who would like to carry tts and calibrate serato every gig now, anyway whom ever knows vinyl technique will have a blast with this new pro controllers
