Hello again it was recommended to me to purchase a sound card. i have a Toshiba Satellite-A135-S2276 80g hard drive vista program. What type of sound card should i be looking for; i am trying to control VDJ with the present controller that i have, Tascam dual CD rack mount CD x1700s

As far as i know tascam cd x 1700 is a dual cd player and not a midi controller.
So the only way to control vdj through your cd player is usiing time code cds (wich tou can download for free from this site) and a 4x4 (4inputs 4 outputs) soundcard.
Some of these are esi maya 44 or esi u46se, M-AUDIO Torq Conectiv etc.
Also you can buy numarks virtualvinyl wich includes: 2 timecode cds, 2 timecodes vinyls virtual vinyl soundcard wich is made for time code setup and a professional edition of cue = vdj.
