The part of the forum is for General Discussion, it is becoming more like the Technical Support section.

because most of what is discussed through-out the whole site is of a technical nature. it's natural that the majority of the threads will be somewhat technical. but i do understand where you are coming from, lots of tech help requests and technical information exchanged in the general forum.
 
i'm with charlie on this one recently there just seems to be a proliferation of requests for tech help, why people need to come onto this forum when there are two perfectley allocated forums in the technical and hardware slots is beyond me, either that they haven't researched the site properly or they need their posts redirected

if you have tech or hardware problems go to the designated forums, thats why they are there, more often than not your problem will be sorted out a lot quicker. if you have a specific problem or inquiry on a subject theres normally a forum for it ie music, radio, plugins and skins amongst others thats why they are there

now i'm just gonna wait for the fallout lol

I think the reason why people post in the General Forum pages rather than the other two forums, is that it's normally the first port of call when we come onto the site and the most popular. I know it's where I go first the slag it about.

I like to go to general discussion to get away from all the problems however it would seems that there is no escape..

Hopefully this topic has raise awareness, we may get the general discussion forum back.

 
I suggested, and don't understand why don't the moderator's just move all of the techical hardware or software posts to the right forum. If not why even have a software or hardware forum.

I'll chime in why I have posted here for tech help....its because NO REPLIES in the TECH forum. I usually post there first but after a couple of days of no replies then I post in here and usually have a reply or replies within the same day.
