How much are you charging per hour for a basic dj gig no video. just some lights and some fog?
I read all the post on the problem with the laptops and the humming noise. So if i go from the three prong connector on my dell to a two prong it should solve the problem?
If i get the noise isolator where do i connect it from?(exactly)
great site very helpful

I live in the southern most tip of texas right by mexico the average rate here is about 150 dollars for four hours and that is your very very basic set up am charging about 60 bucks an hour for your basic set up.
I have friends that charge 100 dollars an hour but they have better equipment and have been in the business much longer.
keep in mind the cost of living here is much lower than your area

Depending on what is required of me. But my basic starting price is 1295.00 for 4-5 hours in the central locations and 695.00 in the mountains. The destination weddings start at 1295.00. Private parties start at 400.00 for 4 hours with no less than 3 hours. I do require a 200.00 deposit with contract on file. I charge an extra 100.00 for video. Overtime is anywhere from 100.00 / 175.00 per hour cash before the extra hour or credit over the internet on website during show.
