Hi all!

I am aware that there are a million "my maya does not work threads and there are a million replys that suggest setting an aggregate device" believe me i searched and tired everything with no success. :(

My set up.

2.4 MBP (retail configuration)
OSX 10.5
Maya 44 USB
TCV
2 sl1200's w/ shure m447's & pmc05pro mixer

I have this setup working on my pc under vista. yesterday when i dl the mac version i could not get a signal. i was receiving the following messages:

"Error in the Asio Driver"
"Error in the driver CoreAudio"
And also the "there is no timecode signal please check your cables" message

I played around with the settings, selecting aggregate device, and also the MAYA44USB driver. I also downloaded the maya controll panel and confirmed that there was a signal comming through, i coul also see the signal in the sound settings for input sensitivity, however could not get any success with vdj.

I also removed and reinstalled vdj using app zapper and still had the same issues.

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

Howdy grab the latest , version from your download center 5.07

Go to Applications > Utilities and run audio and midi setup.app

Now in this example i have used an mk2 but its the same method for the maya 44 usb.




Then go to Audio Setup and choose these :



and then open time-code options , choose cd or vinyl and press auto configure and it should now give you 100%




 
Thanks skyfxl, now i need an excuse to go home early! (im at work sitting at my desk!) Ill try this out when i get home and will post the results. fingers crossed.

Hey I have a Maya 44 and it's plugged in however on the first step of creating an aggregiate device, problem I'm running into is that there's no option for aggregiate device. I'm just getting built in microphone, built in input, built in output and maya 44. Any ideas on this?

if you choose Maya 44 usb in VDJ what is the signal quality like?

it would apear that the setup for the maya created it as a virtual device for you.
 
Just upgraded to Mac. I have been following the same steps for hours now, but its still not reading my TCs. Still returns error problem. I dont really see what else it could be.

i have maya 44 usb too !
first of all sky i did all the steps that you said but first of all i cant see the the configure device bottom
and everything is perfect when i m working without timecodes
any ideas how can i fix it?

What are you trying to play the signal with for timecode , cds or vinyl.

Same problem here with my Maya 44 & iBook G4...

I have a different problem with Maya 44 USB & VDJ 5.0.7. I dont use any timecode, just want to mix: Output to mixer/stereo for listing, output from mac direct to headphone.

I did the following:
- Output: headphone
- Soundcards: two cards

Actually, I seems to work, but the sound is a nightmare. The soundcard itself is fine, it checked in another modus with a goog sound.

Anybody with any ideas how fix? Different settings? Different drivers?

If you cannot see the Configure button on the audio and midi setup on the top bar you will notice an audio menu on this will be Aggregate device editor use this.

Try to set auto latency in Config > Performances

Did it but still no effect in the Timecode Config screen.... but at least now I have an Aggregate device wich contains 4 inputs en 4 outputs =D

So where do I go from here?
 
So to confirm you see flat line once you have selected the device?

Are you able to use the maya in any other applications as a normal sound card , try setting your aggregate device as the default play back device for osx and then use itunes to test if sound comes out.
