i have vertual 3.01 i was wondering how do i not use the mixer that it comes with and just use the volume controls on my own mixer?

ok first let me say welcome.. you need to set up your sound card configure so it know your using a mixer .. you will place the cross fader in the middle of the screen to the middle of the and not touch it.. the mixer volume on the real mixer will control all the volume ,,next send the lines from the sound card to the input of the mixer , then the out line or master to your speakers... got it? good ... now your playing with the big boys..

this may or may not help you with your congfiguration
basically if you cant follow the clip
go to config
soundsetup
outputs > external mixer
soundcards > mono seperated
output channels give you white lead/left channel red lead/right channel to your mixer
you will have to use a y splitter for each channel to get dual inputs into mixing desk
which of course will only give you mono sound output
or you can select headphones and then follow instructions in setup
