ok im new here, in order for me to start mixing i have to download software?plz answer

No, you can mix with CD, turntables, minidisc, cassette tapes and 45's along with your choice of other software solutions. However, if you would like to mix with VDJ then

YES< you would need to purchase VDJ for download or Numark Cue boxed in a store.

There is a trial verson for download.
