hi all. i'm considering getting the hercules 2 console. what is the difference between the VDJ version that comes with the hercules console and the pro dj version? (apart from the fact that you can only use the free version with the hercules plugged in). your thoughts/wisdom appreciated.

yeah, forget the MK2 and go with the Total Control unit, it works much brtter. But you'll have to buy a seprate soundcard or use your on board soundcard in dule mono mode.

I'd have to agree with Tayla. Wait on the Hercules Console RMX version to come and get some reviews before you buy, that is if you can bare it to wait. Should be avaliable in the US, 30MAR08.
I am avoiding the Total Control unit because it's not an all in one unit, and I like to keep the stuff I lug around to a minimum for mobile DJ gigs. I have the MK2 and like it, but I'm def. gonna get my hands on the RMX.
