I have the hercules dj console(not the mk2 the old one) and just bought a stanton t80 turntable with a stanton m202 mixer. I would like to know if i have to buy one of those expensive packages (like scratch live etc) or if i just need to buy a virtual dj tcv thats costs like 15 bucks to make it work(and of course, the necessary software). I dont want to spend like 500 bucks for no reason!
thank you in advance ;)

Before I upgraded to the MK2 console, I used the old Herc. console with one TCV on a T.80 turntable and a M.202 mixer..
It worked fine..

I'm not sure about this, but I haven't heard anything about VDJ supporting any other TCV's...

VDJ has limited support for serato vinyls (no needle drop + pitch difference) but a plug in will be available soon for pro users to give full support.
