Good news works fine.
It just doesn't go back to the center (not spring loaded)

Just call them and ask for an exchange of part as they apear to have supplied the wrong one.

Repairs are done to the highest standard parts are double checked and mistakes are rare.

Hi Sky, you seem to be the man to speak to for all things Numark....

Having bought a CDX unit a few weeks ago, and fallen in love with it, I decided to buy another one off Ebay. Looks like I wasn't so lucky this time, it's having difficulty reading discs. Often takes forever to load, and even while playing it will occasionally start randomly looping (I assume that's just the buffer looping because it can't read the disc)... Tried cleaning the laser - not much improvement. In short, I reckon a new laser is what's needed.

I know the drives as a whole are user-replaceable, but it seems a bit daft to replace the whole drive. Having replaced lasers in CD players before, I'd sooner just replace the laser and save a few pounds! Do Numark supply such a part, or am I going to have to buy the entire drive mech?

We can provide the laser yes , give us a call at the uk support http://www.numark.com/contact/index.php , any one of the team can help you.

Please note this number is for support on numark products only.

Nope.... they want to sell me the whole mechanism or not at all... :-(

edit -
No matter... just found an Ebay shop that stocks replacement laser pickups for £6.99... :-)

Update -

Just to let you know, having replaced the laser, the CDX appears to be working fine now... if you're the owner of a CDX thats having disc reading issues, or random looping during tracks, I recommend you check out an Ebay shop called LittleDiode. If you're handy with a soldering iron and a screwdriver you can fix your CDX for £10!

HI, I'm looking for a replacement wire that goes from my mixdeck to my laptop? Can you please help me?

This is crazy old but it should be in best buy or a normal electronics store. Even Wal-Mart should have one. Should be a printer to USB cable

USB 2.0 A to B cable is what you want.
