Sujet: Vista first timer...and begining to regret it

Greeting to all...now were do I start from

I have just purchased a brand new Acer Aspire 7720G laptop installed with Vista. Ihave only installed the demo version of VDJ and already i have encountered problems. Starting up VDJ and loading tracks are ok but once i start the track, after about 30 sec VDJ starts to lag and a crackling noise is heard. Im wondering if this has to do with the laptop running on Direct X 10???.

Search for Vista threads. Vista works fine with VDJ
 
Try cliking Hardware Acceleration back one line. It helped me on xp, pretty sure is the same on vista.

Try performances slider to fastest, uncheck safe mode n overclock n latency auto.
 
You also have to remember that you bought a computer from the store pre loaded with Vista and a ton of crap that isnt needed. I would go through and get rid of all the uneeded crap.
