Sujet: How can i install sound effects on my macbook?

I've seen that now sound effects are available for mac.... I downloaded it but i can't install it doesn't work

Could you help me please

i have the same problem...
 
If it is for example a sound effekt:
Download---->Documents--->VirtualDJ---->Plugins--->Sound effekt--->here just make a drag'n'drop of your downloadet file

GO!!

The same with skins, video effekts etc.

Ive tryed also it downloads it as an exe

I dont get it
 
Not all plugins are available for Mac at this time.

If you look through them you will find some video transitions and such like - look for the disc with the Apple logo on it.
 
Do not download those with.exe.. Those are application for windows..
 
I am having the same problem! i have a Hercules Mk2 and i do all the steps to put the files on the plugins paste but does´t work! my version is the 4.3 hercules DJC special edition
 
Please ensure that the effect(s) that you download are Mac compatible. Those that are compatible will have a floppy disk download icon with an Apple logo. Also, ensure that the effect is compatible with your version, e.g: An effect designed for VirtualDJ v6 may not work with v4.3

Effects that have a Windows floppy disk download icon only are not compatible with Mac.

To install an effect, simply copy the file EffectName.bundle to the following folder:

MacintoshHD -> Users -> YOUR USER NAME -> Documents -> VirtualDJ -> Plugins -> AudioEffect
 
what about the effects that come in .css format? I can get the .bundle to work just not the other "mac compatible" effects, for examples the equalisation and subass effect.

any help would be much appreciated

Downloads from this site are restricted to legitimate registered users. If you have a license, register it in your profile and you will be able to download some effects.

There are no .css format effects. There are .cpp files; these are the plugins source code. You would need to be able to compile them to work. Incidentelly AFAIK the source for plugins shouldn't be visible to Pro Users!

Where does it install the plugin to?? All the other Mac effects are zip files but this one uses an installer. I installed it and now I can't find it. What am I missing here?
 
The Effect do a long start, just like a vinyl turntable. This effect give you this sound like your song start playing in an old vinyl turntable.

Mac Audio effects are in VirtualDJ/Plugins/SoundEffect

You may found your effect there. If you already have your VirtualDJ open when you install an effect, you may need to close VirtualDJ and open it again to could use this new effect.

Did you change the VDJ path, the one in my documents ? Currently my installer doesn't read the .plist to get the path but only consider the default one: ~/Documents/VirtualDJ/Plugins/SoundEffect
 
Yup, that was the problem. I moved the default location of my VDJ folder because I like it better in my Applications folder instead of the documents folder. Problem solved, thanks.

How do I install the effect on Virtualdj_le? I checked app support and documents and nothing!
 
You can't add more effects to a LE version.

If you like to use more/other effects, you have to upgrade to Pro Full.
