Sujet: Fruity loops or Reason?

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

I have fruity loops, and I like the software. It`s a litle complicated on the beginning but with some pratice it`s easy to work.
BUt someone told me that there is a software better than fruity loops. he said that Reason is better.

what do you think?

This is the Virtual DJ forum, not reason and not Fruity loops forums ;)

Yeah cioce, but it is the general forum, so you can pretty much talk about whatever and it is music related. I personally use both. I use Reason and rewire Fruity Loops to it. Although Fruityloops is really coming out on its own, it can't compare to the quality of sounds (samples) that reason has to offer.

P.S. Don't forget what it says right at the top of the page:

Anything about Virtual DJ, Numark Cue, Numark Virtual Vinyl or AtomixMP3, or not about them*

sorry.

but thanks :D

Anyone one is free to talk about whatever they like*

I personally find Fruity loops easier then Reason, so if your having trouble now multiply that by 4. Try the demo of reason and see if you like it.

Fruity 8 is going to be the BOMB. Full studio right in your PC. (Better upgrade that processor first though.)

You can also check out Ableton Live for loop productions. It's also come out on its own as a production tool (although i dont use it for production, only loop management). It used to be only a post-production tool but has come a long way.

It depends what you want to achieve. Reason is not a loop management tool, its for composing using Rex samples and the Reason plugins (similar to VST). If you found Fruity Loops complicated, you will be lost in reason for quite some time.

I personally use Orion Platinum for composing, its quicker to use and supports VST.

Fruity Loops all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can buy all your VST's and samples (sound library). Image Line even offers a lot of good stuff in both those catergories.

It's fast and easy to use. You'll be making music in minutes. FL also does good in many different generes of music. Lot's of people also like Cubase, while most pro's strictly use a Mac running Pro Tools.

A good source for samples is- www.producerpack.com (although their site look down at the moment?)

nope the site works right now

I was on France and I worked with Reason.

It`s more complete, but I prefer Fruity. :D

Reason is far superior to FL when it comes to soundquality and realness in music production.

But FL is easier to learn, easier to use, and can be used to produce real cool music too, Basshunter (big in europe) produced all his tracks in FL, and lots of hiphop artists seems to be using FL to produce beats too.

I have a friend who have an hip hop band.
he uses a SONY´s software and fruity loops.he have created some cool beats
