Wow!!! I just finish reading all the reviews. This was an interesting experience. Well, overall those who have stick to the rmx up to today, do you like it? is it worth it? or you rather don't even wanna talk about it? any ways i hope to read more up to date reviews because i'm thinking in getting one not for big gigs, but more for house and small house party use. Also if someone just found the ultimate confi please share it. Thankz

my rmx is working great but only one problem.....I get a loud pop when I turn the mic botton on....Anyone having the the same problem ???

Yep & never found a solution to it. Played around with grounding, changed mics, cables, etc. No joy. Now I just use my mics going through an external mixer and don't bother with the rmx mic input. Too bad :-(.

If you (or anyone!) find a solution, please let me know. Ta.

hi there!
i have problems getting my rmx to work. i just upgraded from virtual dj 5.0 to virtual dj 6.0.1 and i have the rmx connected and i can hear the songs using the PFl in the computer in my headphones connected to the rmx but i have no control over any of the buttons in the rmx at all.
i have the following setups
input :none
outputs:headphones======>master:chan 1&2/headphones:chan 3&4
sound card asio driver==========>herucles dj console RMX AISO

also after i done the upgraded i still have the old version of virtual dj in my computer and when i open that it works fine with the rmx, but is when i open the upgrade icon when i can not control the rmx at all, do i need to uninstall the older version??
help please since im getting really frustated!!lol

Hello darkrappaz,

In VirtualDJ 6.0.1
- click on the Config button
- open the mapper tab
- click on the Mapper Option button (this button is below "Codecs" tab title) and activate the setting "Use HID controllers".

hi there!
thanks for answering but unfornately the setting u r talking about it was allready selected and the keyboard as well, so i did change to only select hid controllers but first, gives a blank page with no options and second still doesnt reconize the rms at all.
does anyone knows a number i can call for troubleshooting???

The biggest problem with the RMX not working in VDJ 6 is that the drivers need to be updated. You can do this here.

my problem is with 6+6 buttons..

all buttons are blank
1) they don't light up in the skin
2)no choice for loop in loop out loop in / out does work.(button 1 and 4 only ).. just that there is no choice on the drop down
3)button 3 and 6 only do sampler play nd record... even if you change them to something else
4) no hot cue choice on drop down... but button 2 and 5 have hot cue programmed

anyone else have this issue.

this is after fresh unstall of win xp sp3
install vdj s/w from the box and updated hercules drivers then installed version 6
Also hve installed thenewest hercules mapper

I've seen the new VDJ Pro 6 in action with the RMX. The new version has addressed alot of the quirks and wishes for the hardcaore DJs.
I did notice that the ability to scroll through your files with the jog wheel in version 5x was a great featurel. Looks like with the updated version Pro 6 version, we couldn't figure out how to activate. Any one missing that feature and figure it out??...

HEY guys!!

Worst thing to EVER happen to a DJ...

I was at my gig last night when all of a sudden the RMX put itself in a four beat loop... I tried unlooping it.. nothing.. i tried switching to the next song.. nothing.. every attempt to fix it wasn't working.. it was stuck! nothing on the screen was responding to the mixer!

so i had to shut down the software from my laptop.. no music for 3 minutes while i restarted my MAC..

i finished out the night fine but shaky.. and then it froze again on me while i was playing some clean up music after the event..

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

i don't know if its my laptop or mixer or WHAT!

My laptop only has 2 gigs left of hard drive space left, I'm thinking that could definitely add to the problem, but i even noticed small minute signs of malfunction with the RMX when i first got it, and back then i had plenty of HD space... its a MacBook OSX 10.4.11 3 1/2 years old....

PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE help..

Please someone help me i cant find the latest software maybe im writting it down wrong.also the software that came with rmx dosen't work
when i installed it. It would show that the device is not pluged in and When i click on the rmx icon every thing on my screen blows up big meaning huge icons.

I can't figure out how to plug RMX to the external music source. What kind of cables should I use, if you want to plug it to simple speakers with JACK male?

Could you be more precise about exactly what your are trying to do ?

Keep in mind that when talking about a source, you are referring to what is playing audio.

So , do you want to connect an audio source (like an iPod or a turntable) INTO the Rmx ?

OR

Are you looking to connect the output of the Rmx INTO an amplifier or speakers ?

I just bought the Hercules dj console Rmx. After instaling it I opend the Virtual DJ (DJ Console LE) program and I keep getting the same two errors.
Error # 1: "Error in the ASIO sound driver".
Error # 2: The skin that you are trying to use has a higher resolution than your screen".

Once I click on the "X" to close the message, the Virtual DJ program appears and it locks the computer. I can load the music but it will not play or I can close the program.

Can anybody help with this? Thanks
