ok i have to cdj1000's. sometimes i like to use multiple cue points in one song during a mix. the cdjs have cuepoints a b and c but i find it difficult to set a cue point on the fly while using the cdjs. I find it much easier to use the mouse to click a cue point on the laptop and if needed continue to click the mouse to give it the stutter effect. The only thing is I DONT want to be using the computer all that much unless its to load a song. My question is if i get a controller such as the total control from numark would i be able to use it for my cue points and still mix with my external mixer? and if yes, how would i go about connecting everything to do that? and What other things would i be able to do with the controller if it does work? (btw i only have a 2 channel mixer, im assuming i would need atleast a 3-channel). Thank u guys in advance for ur input.

n e body??

with that controller you will be able to control everything on the screen, including your cue points. The Total Control is not a soundcard so you can still use your ex mixer in the same configuration.

how would i connect it? i currently have a 2 ch mixer would i need a 3 ch mixer or would i just be ble to plug it via usb?

ummm can some1 answer before i use the money im holding for total control and buy suthin i really dont need

Hi djchu, don't rush.
You can use your 2 channels external mixer with some control, I use Hercules MK2 like that. You will select "External Mixer" in VDJ and that's it. I suggest new Hercules RMX console, it has all you need and you can map it to use Cue points.

cant u map on total control as well?

Yes, but it is natively supported.so mapping is not needed.

ok so basically i would have my cdjs and mixer goin into the vv box, a usb connection goin into my laptop and another usb connection from my laptop goin into total control. and with that i can use my timecodes while using total control to control things like my cue points and maybe the effects?

Yes, that should work.....
