just wondering if anyone had a sound card go bad on them.
Right now I am using the DJIO and couldn't be happier. Since they are only 100 bucks I was thinking about picking up another for the "just encase" scenario.
Do sound cards give warinings b4 they take a shit? Have you lost one?

It can go bad of course, bad drivers, bad OS etc. It is always software issue, or a hardware conflict.

I have have thrash tested the DJ.io for many hours and it is a very reliable card.
it is always wise to have a backup solution incase it gets physicaly damaged some how.

thanks for the replies.... I carry my DJiO in a padded case along with my Hard Drives, so I don't think it will ever get physically damaged. I was just wondering if they just stopped working for no reason.

Yes, for no reason at all. Most people die, when they least expect it. It's called "Shit Happens".
