can anyone help me hook up the headphones to a mixer and listen to the song that is on deck without interfiering with the song that is currentley playing

are u speaking in general like a deck on its own or vdj ? if it's virtual dj have a look at your option configuration something is not right!

there is a simailar post at the moment about different versions of Virtual DJ.
but, if youre using the Trial Version, im pretty sure that it is limited to just one output with the main mix from the 2 decks.
so no possibility of headphones.
the hom version is the next step and lets you connect the headphones to the 'rear' output on a 5.1 soundcard.
the full 'pro' version has no restriction on connecting to an external mixer.

Do I need to have an external mixer, in order to cue songs up. With the full verson of the virtual dj?

im using the virtual dj 5.0 my question is how can i hook up my laptop to my mixer so that i can listen to the track that is loaded on deck 1 without it interferring with the song that is currently playing on deck 2. can you give me step by step im a beginner
