Sujet: SKin Locked Up VDJ

i loaded a skin and once it loaded it shows "SORRY ONLY THE OFFICIAL DJ CAN BE DJ TONIGHT" and locked up the whole vdj screen so i cant even change anything it wont even let me load or play music nothing is working...PLEASE HELP

Weird man. Was the skin from this site or a "file sharing site"

It looks like to me a little cheeky virus.

If 5 X go to Documents > Virtual DJ > Plug ins > Skins and delete that zip

If 4 or previous versions go to C > Program files > Virtual DJ > Plug ins > Skins

I had that problem too, its to pevent someone from messing w the music when youve got it on automix and left the comp alone for a little bit...
Heres what you did to get it: click the padlock icon between the config and minimize button.
Heres how to get out of the lockout mode: CLICK THE EMAIL ADDRESS AT THE BOTTOM LEFT OF THE WINDOW

Yeah, it's probably just a panel over the original skin so you have to click on
a super-secret spot to remove it, or press an assigned keyboard combination.

Kinda of a good idea though if you were told how to use the skin... LOL

I "lock" my pc using alt ctrl delete if I leave the consol. (unless doing video.)

Annoying prob though
 
Well I wondered if this would ever come up and it did.

I had a couple of these show up in eservice.
At the time the instructions for the lock were at the bottom of the download page.
Where this lock is near the config panel it is dangerous, and if you didn't read the memo its now at the top of the description page of the skin.

I actually got to look stupid myself in the fact finding process, but I thought the situation had corrected itself.

When the skin is locked, click on the email address of the author to unlock, it is in the lower left corner.

the lock on this skin is very useful. however i once used CTRL, ALT + DEL to lock my computer, when i got back, there was a guy stood at my computer, getting quite mad that he wasnt getting 'oasis' when he typed oasis at the login prompt! lol

You actaully don't have to use CTRL + ALT + DEL. You can just hit the "windows key" (windows flag) and "L" together. It just locks the PC in that one key stroke.
