I am not a professional DJ, or even an amateur- just a guy who is frequently requested to play the music at parties... I just recently purchased an Airport, and am aware that I will need to purchase Airfoil to wirelessly stream music (everything besides iTunes applications) to my speakers.
I want to learn how to beat mix, and blend music using a DJ software package...Does anyone have a reccomendation for the best Airfoil compatible software for a beginner?

Give us a link to this "Airport", and "Airfoil", so I can better understand what you are trying to do.

here's the problem.... when you are DJing live (not automixing) there is a delay in the audio. You will hear a 1 - 2 second delay on this. Thats because the airport express devices buffer the stream. I don't know if this is something that can be changed.
I walked into the apple store and spoke with their techs. Now I don't take their info to be 100% accurate but he informed me that he uses AirPort express units for his home and has iTunes play music. It streams and plays through the speakers instantly. (This would need to be tested.)
As far as Virtual DJ goes, it would not be something related to the product because the audio is redirected through AirFoil then to the AirPort Express devices, buffered, then to the speakers (w/ a delay).
