Hi, I am looking for some advice on how to increase the volume coming from my laptop through Virtual Dj, so I shall try and explain my situation.
I connect my Usb mixer and laptop to my vinyl decks through the mixer's line-in, from the headphone socket in my laptop, this however is about 10% as loud as the record thats playing on the other turntable. I have maxed all volume controls on both virtual dj and the laptop itself but is still quiet through my mixer (Numark Dm1002 Mk2, if that helps lol). And even with the gain on the mixer fully up it isn't as loud as the vinyl that I'm mixing with.
I was told about a program called DFX 8 Audio Enhancer but I don't think this works with VDJ.
Does anyone have any tips or ways to combat this problem.

You are doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what. How did you connect your laptop to the mixer?
Which version do you use? I suggest you to download the latest demo version and try it out.

you say you've increased your volume control from your lappy but is that just from the icon "speaker" on your tool bar? have you checked your lappys main audio control by right clicking on the icon and checking both "open volume control" and also "adjust audio properties" may be termed differently on yours but these also control the overall output for your audio... hope that may help

It might be the sound card on the laptop. It may not be a good card. Just because the computer is high spec in processing doesn't mean the sound is any good. But check the icon soundcard level first.

The Output I'm using is just the headphone socket but I also bought a USB external soundcard but when I send it through this, it is slightly louder but the freq. range is terrible and the bass distorts.
As for levels on the laptop, all have been maxed, on VDJ and the soundcard.
I've looked into soundcards, as at the moment it is just the one that came with the laptop but am not sure where to start.
